Nice, though being mainly based on tourism, is nevertheless the fifth city in France, and therefor develops strongly in the business, service and commerce domains, which are the other pillars of the Nicoise economic life.

Of course, tourism is the highlight of the local spillovers, especially thanks to the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the second French airport in terms of activity, but also due to its harbour, which allows regular shuttle to Corsica and welcomes many cruise ships.

On average, more than 4 million tourists arrive every year to a city that embodies all the necessary infrastructure for the reception and the management of this flow, of which almost half arrive during summer. But Nice is also a winter destination with its famous Carnival and its New Year’s celebration… on the beach!
